You’d think that maybe all they sell are tomatoes……oh no, they have quite an amazing variety of fresh produce in the outside market. There is a shop ( with lovely air conditioning which is most welcomed in 100 degree temperatures) and they have homemade jams, dressings, soup mixes, specialty cheeses, breads and a deli counter.

They will prepare a sandwich or you can opt for twice baked potato salad, cooked meats…so much to offer. I would love to have some photos of the shop but the lady inside asked me not to take pictures. She wasn’t comfortable with it without the owners permission. No biggie – I attached a link for you if you’d like a virtual look around. HERE
Take a look at some of the produce…………..

Here is part of my haul from my last trip.........

Look at all the potatoes!

Purple potatoes – I’ve never had them before and was delighted that they are actually purple under the skin. Not what I expected. Quite festive.

I didn't whip them...just boiled them in salted water and we smashed them up with butter and salt and pepper.

We have loads more produce to design desserts....something strawberry is what I'm thinking. Nice and cool for this rotten hot weather!

I love being able to view a blog and think "Hey, I know where that is!" Woo-hoo, right on Thomasville Road. I have been using Market Street Farmers Market on Saturdays. I am think on my way home from work or during lunch I need to pay Tomato Land a visit.
I would love to experience a trip to this store! Everything there sounds so fresh and delicious...local markets are the best.
I was kind of hoping it was a plethora of tomato delights, LOL!! But, it still looks like a fabulous market...even with all the variety ;) What a wonderful post...I'd love to visit Tomato Land! And I love purple potatos...although I rarely peel them (or any tater for that matter). Thanks so much for sharing this fun post with Two for Tuesdays this week, Tina =)
Markets like this are truly a gem to have in your area. The family of one of my daughter's classmates own a similar market.
I love seeing what is growing in other parts of the world. Every farmers market has a different character, which is part of what makes the experience of shopping there so delightful. Thank you for sharing at Two for Tuesday.
