I...My absolutely favourite soup in the world ever! I have vivid memories of a journey through France to Spain - summer of 1976, we stopped at a auberge with rooms one night and mum ordered the set meal for us all. The starter was a huge pot of onion soup. The cheesey toast formed a crust that had to be broken to get to the soup. Mum said I cried when the pot was taken away!!
