Getting Inked is Addictive!

I have mentioned several trips we've taken to New Port Richey in March and April of this year. The main reason we have been trekking off to NPR is to see the fantastic artist Litos at Forbidden Images.

Forbidden Images is owned by Litos and his wife Julie. A dynamite couple whose artistic talents will blow you away. I’m fairly certain these kind people haven’t seen the last of our family. Getting inked is addictive!!

Doug and I each have tattoos by Litos but they were done in the 1990s when he was at Lou's Tattoos in Clearwater. We were stoked to find he has his own business south of us. Now that Doug’s new ink is done, check out the results.........

THIS is the artwork he took along and the artist is Anne Stokes.

First trip in March Litos did the outline and a bit of coloring.

Second trip in April this much was completed.

Close up....

June - Doug's last session...........Litos is hard at work while Doug watches a Rammstein concert through the reflection in glass.

Here it is....the finished work of art! This photo was taken by Litos (because he has a good camera) and it's just minutes after he finished up. Isn't this fantastic?

12 hours in the chair (not all at once....obviously) in three sessions total. It was worth it.....very nice work. Side by side the artwork detail is perfect. Perfect. The lines, the scales, the eye, the curve of the tail. You could almost touch the curved dragon tail it is so three dimensional.

Here are some snaps of Forbidden Images.........Please check out the gallery and photos of their shop HERE

Litos......just finished with Doug's tattoo.

If you are inclined to have some nice artwork inked on your body, I would highly recommend you place your trust in this artist. It's a fun place to visit, relaxed atmosphere, great music and best of all..........you'll have the best looking tattoo around.

Cheers!

  7. Thanks folks! I am, as you can imagine, very pleased with the final results. Back in February when Litos and I started talking about doing this piece it seemed like it would never be done. Now that it is done, I kind of miss looking forward to my next trip!

Welcome and thank you so much for visiting. If I don't answer you here I will get back to you on your blog. Also have had to switch to approving comments due to some SPAM lately. Alas...

It's been a good run...........
