Me, I am not ambidextrous. I never realized how dependent I am regarding my right arm. May as well have a flipper on the left side for all the good it does with detail work such as stirring sauce through hot pasta. Or pouring a cup of coffee from a full pot. A hot, steaming pot – just begging to give me third degree burns.
So, that being said…I can share a roundup of Christmas and birthday photos…not a lot, but I am incapable of typing too much so…
Birthday first
Tristan started with a mug of beer and dozen raw oysters......
The oysters were great - fat, juicy and salty
Fried catfish sandwich...and beer
A skillet - wow, they pack these things with shrimp, oysters, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and served over buttery yellow rice. We brought some home.
Christmas we splurge for our annual prime rib purchase.........
Yorkshire Pudding which is amazing......
Roasted root vegetables.......
The tree is decorated with goat ornaments (of course) and the shibas managed to get two new toys. One was immediately gutted of fiber fill...looks like a snow scene in one room with that stuff scattered about.........
Anyway.....I hope to post about good things for 2011. Hope to be more physically and finacially fit for the upcoming year.
I wish you all good health!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you & your family, Pierce. I apologize for not being around too much, but you know how it is with me at times. Big hugs to you! Thanks for your support and for being such a great friend to me!
Wish you could have sampled those oysters - they were really good. I understand about the visiting thing. Believe me, it takes planning anymore to get online at all.
ReplyDeleteHugs back at ya!!
Looks like some yummy food and an insanely cute tree! Happy New Year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteTina- Sorry to hear that you don't have the use of both arms right now. It certainly makes things tough.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've been eating some wonderful food though. From the oysters to the prime rib - yum!
I hope the new year brings you good health and all the best!
Both your arms will be full force soon. Just keep raising the wine glass, kick back and relax.
ReplyDeleteYour holiday food looks amazing...Oysters and the prime rib . Very nice! The Yorshire pudding rocks too.

ReplyDeleteHope your arm is healing quickly and my wish for you is great health, generous prosperity, peace within and a safe journey for your son...
Thank you all soooo much! To think, if I had continued hand writing my journals and didn't take to blogging, I wouldn't have met you all.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your good wishes, your friendship, sharing recipes and encouragement!
Fortunately I had some posts ready for posting so...I WILL have new stuff up soon :-)
Oysters and beef and Yorkshires ... yum!
ReplyDeleteI've had a day of snails followed by roast duck with foie gras gravy and LOTS of cheese - I'm bound to start suffering soon ;o)
Si and I start the journey home tomorrow :o(
Umm ... I did it, it's only short but it's there and it's a start ;o)
