First off, thank you to Donnag for becoming a follower of my blog!
“Ahhhhh ,” I sighed as February’s hard luck images receded out of my head... just as the tide rolls out to sea.
Yes, March is lookin' good right now.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you may know we experienced being down with the flu, my husband being hospitalized, our dog’s glaucoma issues, the fridge is broken (partially) and we had a count down of the few precious days left to spend with our son before he left on active duty with the US Army. All of that struck us in February. Good riddance to that month!
Whew! All appears to be well now! We are in good health and feeling good; Doug is better and by my side (where he belongs); Kobe ’s laser surgery went extremely well; fridge shopping has started and last, but most certainly not least, we watched as Tristan took his oath to become a soldier.
I have posted some photos on Facebook but for family and friends who aren’t Facebookers …..here are some photos from Tallahassee and Jacksonville.
Monday: At the station in Tallahassee
Me, Doug, Sgt. Walters, Angel and Tristan

He's ready to go! Next stop, Ft Jackson, South Carolina.

Kobe's recovery from laser surgery was successful
This month is starting off well...so far. I plan to get back to my online activities, reading, visiting, writing letters and baking. Yea!

ReplyDeleteMrs L
Thanks for all the kind words - I was thinking karma was a bitch ...but, I guess it was a just run of plain old bad things all happening at once. Wait...that is karma, right? Anyhoo.....I feel good about the upcoming year now.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all who stuck by me and the words of encouragement!
Tina I totally understand how you feel now that your son left! My heart is with you, I know how I would feel so I understand pretty well. The last few months weren't as good for you I know, you told us so. Sometimes life seems like really hard to bear. But we have to go on and try to find any shred of good out of all bad. I am sure better days will come for your family. Hang in there, my thoughts are with you and with all the children who have to leave their homes to go service their country!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katerina. I feel much better now, physically and mentally. All is falling into place now...life is good! thanks so much for your support!
ReplyDeleteTina,
