Bravo Alpha Bravo Yankee

Bravo Alpha Bravo Yankee .... What’s that spell? That’s military language for Baby. Yep, we are going to be grandparents and are very happy for our son and his wife!

No idea if they are having a boy or girl yet. I wish my parents were still alive because they would be over the moon happy. In the meantime, I am gathering the blankets my grandmother crocheted for our son, pulling out the very coolest outfits he used to wear and getting a new copy of Goodnight, Moon as well as Harold and the Purple Crayon. Two books every child needs.

I know the little babe will be read to often as my son and daughter-in-law are voracious readers. That’s one of the special childhood memories I have of my parents; they read to me all the time. This baby will certainly inherit a nice library :-)

What an adventure. We're excited and happy for them!

  2. Congratulations! You'll have to buy the baby some Sandra Boynton books too. Loved those when my kid were little.
