Need some Suggestions AND a Tastemaker Product Review (Thanks Special K)

Project Food Blog – I went on vacation and managed to still get online to vote for my favs. Sadly, I see they did not advance beyond Challenge 4. Anyone have suggestions for their friends who are still in the mix? I wanted to support my foodie buddies but am not acquainted with the ones in the challenge now.

Limoncello - While cooking through a few Italian publications such as the Williams Sonoma book entitled Italian, magazines, etc……I saw much mention of the liqueur Limoncello. Arriving at the liquor store, all prepared to grab a bottle for addition to the cabinet…I was met with four brands. Any suggestions from the Italophiles out there? My luck I’d purchase the worst one of the bunch and so…rather not guess.

Tastemaker Program

One of the very fine benefits of being in the Tastemaker program with Foodbuzz is getting a nice surprise in the mail. Special K has teamed up with Foodbuzz and I couldn’t be happier. Special K is one of our favorite cereals - the Red Berries is certainly on my short list of cereals I pull off the shelf in the mornings. I alternate with Cheerios as that’s good for my cholesterol…and waistline.

Besides the obvious – pouring it into a bowl for breakfast or snack…..I use healthy cereals for a mini parfait sometimes.

Behold – Red Berries Special K and Greek Strawberry yogurt.

I can watch my calories and enjoy a snack while watching the Phillies try and stay in the playoffs. (Sadly, they were out of the series tonight).

Thank you to Foodbuzz and Special K for the sample boxes.

  1. Looks wonderful with yogurt. I would love to be a taster; I wonder if they send to Canada.

  6. Jo - you are amazing. I was just looking into that! Before we make any I think I will still try and buy some. Don't want to be stuck with something we don't like. (who am I kidding, it has vodka!)
