It's been so busy at work...I got a little burnt out staring at a computer. So the result is, I have things I want to post about, info to share....but I can not look at my laptop after a long day at work. That's why I haven't been visiting or posting.
However, I am motivated to share photos and details about some amazing Cuban food we've had recently. Last weekend we ate at Gordo's Cuban Restaurant located in Tallahassee, Florida. They never disappoint, it's always good food and now it's motivated me to dig out my Cuban cookbook Clarita's Cocina.
Let me show you rather than tell you what we had.
Pollo A La Plancha which is a mojo marinated chicken breast served with rice, black beans and maduros (fried sweet plantains)
Lechon Asado is an oven roasted pork loin, mojo flavors here and the same sides as I had above.
There are many amazing meals and sandwiches served at Gordo's restaurant but we never seem to stray far from these two delicious meals.
I have made a number of dishes from this cookbook, Clarita's Cocina, but haven't done so since I have been actively blogging about food. I need to remedy that and get cooking with Clarita!
So long for now....I just wanted to get a quick post up to say hello to family and friends before heading out for some R&R at Cedar Key. Hopefully I will remember the camera and will have photos to share later this week.
Cheers and have a wonderful weekend!
