Tis the Season for parties and coincidentally, is also the theme at I ♥ Cooking Club! While we are not social creatures and haven't been to a party in years and years...if I did have a party I would want to serve these wings.
They are super easy to make and a natural finger food at a buffet. Plus they taste soooo good.
Caramelized Chicken Wings
3 pounds (1.5kg) chicken wings, wing tip removed
¼ cup (60ml) sherry vinegar
1 teaspoon caster (superfine) sugar
sea salt flakes
sour cream dressing
½ cup (120g) sour cream
¼ cup chopped chives
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon shredded lemon zest
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Place the chicken wings, vinegar, sugar and salt in a baking dish and toss to combine.
Roast for 40–45 minutes or until golden. Place the sour cream, chives, lemon juice and zest, and paprika in a bowl and mix until well combined. Serve chicken wings with the sour cream dressing. Serves 4–6.
Just look at this caramelized wing, so lusciously moist with crispy skin. Can't resist, can you? Simple to make a batch so get to it! OK...on to the Donna Hay party now :-)
Let's see what the others are cooking up......pass the wine, please.
Oh yes...happy new year to you if I'm not around before 2014!

ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. It's great party food or just a meal for the patio.
ReplyDeleteLove that dressing too..
ReplyDeleteSuch great color on these and I love the sounds of the sour cream dressing too. I like to just eat part food for dinner on occasion (without all the socializing). ;-)
ReplyDeleteThese would be a huge hit in my house. They look so brown and crisp - yum!
ReplyDeleteOh, Tina! Those look mouthwatering :) I'd love to get messy eating a few of those. Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Happy New Year to you!

Nope, I don't really do party either, but if I did I would sure want to be standing beside the plate of these babies. They look so good and love the sound of the dressing too.
