My son brought home the movie Ninja Assassin last week. While I am quite enjoying the Spartacus series, the ninja movie was too bloody for me. So, in order to join the guys watching television, I sat with them and crocheted. I could hear the movie and look when I wanted…but focused on this throw I am very amateurishly making. I want to thank Janel over at Janel’s Jumble for getting my crochet interest aroused again.
Just realized this photo was from 7 weeks ago.....Got a haircut. It only looked this smooth for 5 days. Now it’s longer (and brown) and no where near as posh. I’m hopeless.
The weather has jumped from winter to summer in a snap....so we had steamed shrimp, tropical fruit and Corunas for dinner one evening. Quick meal.

Marmite - Foul stuff - if you didn't grow up eating it :-) Crossing off Marmite.
I will hand it to Joie de Vivre for eating this on toast many mornings for breakfast. I can not stress enough how much I didn’t care for this! It sounds healthy, and a great way to curb appetite, but oh my…
I was told that if you didn’t grow up eating Marmite you wouldn’t like it. So true, in my case anyway. Joie de vivire wrote about Marmite HERE:
Here is my list and if you have a list of your own, link to me!
Cheers!

Love your haircut Tina. Your post reminds me that I am due for one:D
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time watching those bloody movies (unless it's a vampire movie and then I'm all about it). I didn't know that you crocheted. I hope you'll show us the final product when you are all done.
Love the haircut!! I can never get mine to look good for longer than a week either. And blech to marmite...I have tried and can't do it either.
ReplyDeleteI finally talked my wife into getting the same haircut... very easy to deal with here in humid country.
ReplyDeletea fun slice of life post
Kim - thanks...it looked this sleek for exactly 4 days. Now it's back to being...everywhere! You like vamp shows? Did you watch the Sookie Stackhouse series? Love those books.
ReplyDeleteCathy - Thanks, I ask for hair "directions" when it's cut and ALWAYS ask for an eays cut...but...I'm hopeless. Yeah..marmite didn't do it for me.
Dave - Thanks...I hope Jackie likes the cut. It's kinda humid here too...I'm enjoying reading about your visitors and all the great meals you are making.
Loving the haircut.
ReplyDeleteEven if you're not going to eat the Marmite it's quite handy as a flavour depth/filler in casseroles.
But Jo, won't the taste be dominant? I just didn't like the flavor. Always willing to try new foods though!
ReplyDeleteI always put a tsp or so in a beef casserole along with a dash or so of Worcestershire sauce. Simon is a Marmite hater and he doesn't curl up and die ;o)
