It didn't rain last Sunday! So we rode to St George Island

I wish I could tell you this was outside our front entrance. Well I could, but that would be a big fat lie.

This is front door parking at the Blue Parrot on St George Island. We have been getting hammered with rain day after day after DAY. But last Sunday...it was gorgeous. It was sunny. I saw blue sky. We had not been riding for over three weeks - at least - so we took our first long ride despite it being very windy.

Over the bridge to the island for a seafood lunch. 2 hours one way.

How cool is this bridge? It's cooler temperature wise on that upper part and you sure feel the wind pushing you around.

We sat on the upper deck at The Blue Parrot..............

Enjoyed some grilled grouper tacos...........

This is one view from the deck. It was very breezy.

The ride back was much hotter than we anticipated. Overall - what a fun time. Sadly the rain is back and the forecast looks bleak for the next 10 days or so...but hey, at least we had this break last weekend.

A good time with the best company ♥

  1. What a beautiful day! How amazing would it be to actually have that as your front entrance? And I think it would be equally amazing to have those grouper tacos in front of me right now...YUM!

  3. Wish I could send you some of our sunny weather right now! It looks like you had a great day, but I would have been a bit nervous driving over that bridge.

Welcome and thank you so much for visiting. If I don't answer you here I will get back to you on your blog. Also have had to switch to approving comments due to some SPAM lately. Alas...

It's been a good run...........
