Sakura in Tallahassee

My latest sushi adventure……….my son would be proud.

The creations are absolutely works of art. They are carefully constructed and have enormous visual appeal. Years past when Doug and Tristan would get sushi I thought it looked great, presentation wise, but I just couldn't eat it.

Those days are long past and I am up for new experiences where cuisine is concerned. So, here's the latest.

The Sakura roll consists of King crab, shrimp, kani, mango and avocado on top with chef’s special sauce. Look how thin the pineapple is sliced to wrap around this roll.

Sakura Roll

Doug had the Butterfly roll. This is tuna, salmon, escolar and tallow tail tuna. All raw.

Next time we go to Sakura I plan to try something called Volcano roll as it is set on fire. I like foods set on fire.

That's about it. We've been eating quite a bit of seafood, chicken and veggies to cut back on calories lately and this new sushi kick has fit in with our plans very nicely.

Bread posts coming up soon .............

  2. I enjoy sushi but, I eat the avocado rolls or others that don't have seafood....I know you are thinking what's the point? I am thinking I just want to eat sushi too.

I have heard good things about Sakura.

    Cheers.
