One of the things I miss from our wheat eating days is a good pizza. You can find a pizza mix from Red Mills, Pamela's and the pre-made crusts from Udi's or Rustic Crust. But there is nothing like going out for a pizza and bringing it home for movie night.
Well...we found some gluten free pizzas in Tallahassee which in't too far a drive for us.
This pizza was recommended by our friend Branch. She said try Mellow Mushroom because they have a very good GF pizza. Thank you, Branch!
Here is a close up so you can see the fresh ingredients they load on the pizza.
Someone else told us we could get a GF pizza at Uncle Maddios. Here is a snap of that one.
Of the two, I have to say Mellow Mushroom is the better one. It was very good, especially paired with a Greek salad. We haven't tried getting as take-away yet since they are a bit of a drive. For a Saturday afternoon pizza fix, it's worth stopping by.
Anyone else know of a decent pizza crust mix or pre-made crust for the evenings we want to chill at home? I welcome all suggestions. Really.

Have you tried one of the cauliflower crusts? I never have, but have a friend who says they're pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI have never even heard of the cauliflower crust, sounds intriguing. Doug hates cauliflower but I am a fan.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt's very good! Unfortunately also a bit expensive because of the special prep precautions but, totally worth it for a pizza now and then
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a pizza fan, Tina but I know how important it is to those who love pizza to have just the right kind:) Looks like you found something for now, lol...I have heard the Cauliflower crust pizzaa are pretty darn good. "Hubby" may not even realize it's cauliflower. I'm not sure but I may have a recipe on my Pizza Board.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Tina...
At least you found a decent alternative! Hope you find a good mix to make it at home!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise, I will check out your Pinterest board for pizza. I miss it on some Fridays when we have a long day at work and we want easy dinners. Mostly we whip up something easy we like as much.
ReplyDeleteJoanne - right?! Sometimes you just want a particular thing. Will be trying the mixes son. Makes it an easy at-home pizza night.
