This bottle of Dom was purchased in advance and waited for June 16th. It's a 2003, an amazing year. This was the first time I had ever had Dom Perignon.
Crab cakes, melon and roasted asparagus were served...on the patio.

We had a cheese course, but I forgot which one now :-) and then homemade brownies and port afterwards
The brownies were awfully good and it was hard to resist devouring them before we headed out of town two days later.
After a wonderful celebration we were off to Georgia to visit our kids and granddaughter for a few days.
It's all been fun, we had a great time but.....damn....back to work to earn more bone money. The shibas need to eat and we need to fill the wine cooler. I will be posting more photos soon.
Hope all is well in your world!

Thanks for sharing, Tina...Now, back to the old grind:)
That looked like the most excellent start to a great week. Bet you had a blast. Hope work wasn't too stressful when you got back. I don't think I've ever had Dom either. Happy belated anniversary,
ReplyDeleteDarn-it... I seem to be running behind on many things, forgive me but happy belated. and so sorry about having to return to work... I think I will be working during my vacation weeks this year... stinks but its called survival...

Thanks all for the lovely sentiments. We always have a good time on our anniversary and 99% of them are spent at home, enjoying good food and wine.
